The PMI-ACP certification validates an individual’s expertise as an agile practitioner while implementing agile tools and techniques in the projects(s) he is working on. The PMI-ACP credential carries a high level of credibility owing to a mix of certification requirements across professional experience, focussed agile training, and clearing an application-level exam.

PMI provides an online certification system to apply for all of their certifications. A printable version is also available in special cases for which you may have to contact the Customer Care to submit a request. Here’re the steps involved in getting certified
Getting a formal training/ course helps you prepare across all necessary topics for the certification exam and prevents inadvertently missing out on one or more essential knowledge areas. It is also a mandatory requirement for certification to complete at least 21 contact hours of training on agile practices, preferably from a PMI Registered Education Provider. Note that any self-directed learning will not satisfy this training requirement.
A contact hour certificate (21 contact hours for the PMI-ACP credential) certifies that you have put in the necessary minimum amount of time in learning about topics covered in the exam content outline. A contact hours’ certificate is generally a prerequisite for certification.
PDUs (Professional Development Units) are a type of continuing education “units” that help measure the time and effort spent in activities aligned to one’s profession, certification or credential. PDUs form a certification maintenance requirement that becomes relevant after you get certified.
In most cases, each “contact hours” or PDU is equivalent to 1 hour of engagement in a relevant activity (attending training, presenting a paper, working in an aligned project etc.).
PMI neither discloses the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam nor specifies the number of questions you need to answer correctly. As a PMI-ACP exam candidate, you won’t get to know your exact exam scores - you’ll instead get a proficiency level as an indicative performance rating across each knowledge domain, as explained below
